the brief

The Grampian Food Forum is a partnership comprising of senior members of the food and drink industry in the North East of Scotland. The Forum helps companies consolidate their competitive positions in the short-term, while guiding them towards sustainable long-term growth. The Food Forum awards ceremony is a key part of their strategy as it rewards individual businesses who identify with the Forum and support its aims.

The Grampian Food Forum approached us as they required an audiovisual specialist to look after all the technical aspects of this prestigious occasion. It was essential that the audiovisual contractor was able to provide vision, sound, staging and lighting at the awards dinner. The Forum also required video solutions to enhance the production values of the award ceremony. As experts in both video production and audiovisual solutions, AVC were the ideal partners for the Food Forum to produce a high quality, black tie event.

our solution

Our audiovisual team used top of the range equipment in order to make the whole event as engaging and technologically advanced as possible. They provided the stage and rigging, lighting, 80” and 42” HD plasma screens to display graphic and media, lectern and audio equipment, tasteful room dressings and a PA system. We also supplied a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that the event was set up and executed in a smooth and professional fashion.

Our video production team also created a number of videos to create a memorable event. They used a collection of the Food Forum’s archive photos to create a photo montage to be displayed on the large screens around the room during the dinner segment of the evening. For the awards section, we created 11 short films which each introduced an award category and the nominations. Our video team travelled around the region to film the previous year’s category winners in their environment and had them explain how the Food Forum has helped them and how important winning the award was to their business. We were there on the evening to capture the proceedings, which the Food forum will use for promotional purposes.
